Our site staff however have gone above and beyond this year to ensure the safety and health of our residents and tenants across our portfolio.
Based on performance and feedback from our property management team, the following site staff have been recognized for their extraordinary efforts above and beyond expectations this past year.
AWARD CATEGORIES
Each year we recognize those site staff who have been with us through a special project at their property, or who have demonstrated a willingness to go above and beyond in their day to day duties.
MAJOR PROJECT
The criteria which warrant special recognition in this category include:
▪ Resident and tenant relations throughout the project
▪ Coordination with Project Managers and Trades throughout the project
For their outstanding efforts during a major project which concluded in 2020, this year’s recipients of award certificates for major project are:

SPECIAL RECOGNITION (ABOVE AND BEYOND)
The categories used to determine those site staff deserving of special recognition in this category are:
- Grounds & building exterior
- Building interior
- Tenant Relations
- Administration and paperwork
- Leasing and tenant retention
Site staff are assigned scores out of 10 for each of the above categories by their Property Manager and our marketing and customer service team.
Those site staff who achieve an average score of above 95% are recognized each year for their continued efforts.

CUSTOMER SERVICE EXCELLENCE AWARD – 2020
The Customer Service Excellence Award is presented each year to our site staff who have made an outstanding contribution to the Towers Realty Group brand through a proven commitment to customer service excellence.
This year’s recipient is certainly deserving. Her building is always immaculate, and she consistently goes above and beyond to provide her residents with the best possible resident experience. Her building has a five-star rating on Google and she consistently receives positive mentions on Google and in communication to our office from her tenants.

The COVID-19 pandemic has proved to be a challenging time for us all. Through all this, we recognize that there will still be some people who need to find a place to live. We’re very excited to share the news that Towers Realty Group was recognized with two awards at the Professional Property Managers Association’s annual awards luncheon held yesterday.

Congratulations go to Bea and Jake Letkeman, recipients of the PPMA’s Long Term Service Award for 2020. Bea and Jake have been the caretakers of Harwood House (349 Edison Ave) for 40 years. In that time, Bea and Jake have gone above and beyond in all aspects of their roles, providing excellent service to residents, keeping the building and property clean, and maintaining consistently low vacancy rates. They’ve overseen a major renovation project, and on top of that all, they are just wonderful and kind people. We love having Bea and Jake as a part of Towers Realty Group team, and are thrilled to see them recognized by the PPMA. Unfortunately Bea wasn’t able to attend the event, but Jake was on hand to receive the award alongside Property Manager Alicia Koskey.

Additionally, Clarence Court at 526 Walker Avenue was recognized as the PPMA’s Historical Building of the Year. Originally built in 1912, this three storey apartment has subsequently been upgraded and renovated a number of times, while still maintaining the building’s historic quality. Clarence Court was recently designated a historical building by the Manitoba Historical Society.
Congratulations to our Caretakers Anthony from 555 River and to Carl and Adam from The Ritz Apartments on their award wins at this year’s Professional Property Management Association awards. We are truly grateful to have such dedicated Caretakers helping us to build fantastic communities at all of our properties throughout Winnipeg, Selkirk and Brandon. These awards are well deserved!
Long Time Service Award – Anthony Kushniruk
Anthony Kushniruk has been the Caretaker of 555 River Avenue for 20 years. In that time he has become an invaluable asset to the building and his Tenants. Anthony is consistently performing above the expectations of his Property Manager and is always there for his Tenants whenever needed. His building is always clean; he shows suites well and never experiences a significant problem with vacancies, filling suites as fast as they come up.
His efforts to not only manage his building well, but also to treat all of his residents with the utmost respect, have made him a favorite among our tenants who recommend his property with great regard.

Outstanding Customer Service Award – Carl Newman and Adam Reynolds
Carl and Adam’s residents absolutely love living in their building. From the care they take to ensure the property is always clean and inviting; to the attention and dedication they put in to decorating their property for all the big holidays, Carl and Adam have created a wonderful community among their residents. They consistently go all out at Halloween and at Christmas, decorating their property in the most beautiful and festive ways; Handing out candy in the “spooky” courtyard to all the costumed neighbourhood children. Their efforts to foster a sense of fun and community among their tenants and at their building, is the cornerstone of customer service to which we hope all Caretakers aspire.

We will re-open on Tuesday February 19th at 8:30am and will return to regular business hours, 8:30am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday.

Anyone wishing to drop off cheques or applications, please enclose them in an envelope before inserting in to the drop box. Please ensure cheques are clearly marked as to which unit or application they are to be applied.
