We collect information from you in two ways. First, we collect personal information on our standard tenant application and through supporting documentation such as letters of employment, bank statements, income tax assessments, etc. Tenants are required to provide employment information as well as other personal information to be used for identification and qualification purposes. We also request emergency contact information in order to ensure the safety of our tenants in the event of an emergency.
Second, we utilize rental references and credit inquiries obtained, with written permission, in assessing your suitability for tenancy. Your signed application provides us written permission to obtain information on you from a third party such as a credit reporting agency or previous landlord to help us in qualifying you for tenancy.
We also collect the same information from a co-signer or guarantor of any lease, including credit and employment information, rental history, and other personal information as required at the discretion of our leasing manager.Â
